Searching the Internet

If you are listening to this podcast in iTunes or on an iPod, you can subscribe to the enhanced AAC version. This will allow you to see logos and have links to the sites I am discussing in the podcast. They will show in the lower left corner of itunes with a picture and a link. Clicking on the link ill take you directly to the site that I am discussing at that point in the podcast.

To subscribe, you need to copy the following URL:

feed://www.qdinformation.com/searching/?feed=rss2&category_name=enhanced-podcast-aac

Then go to iTunes and from the Advanced menu select “Subscribe to podcast”. In the dialog box that pops up, paste in the URL. You will then be subscribed to the enhanced version and every time a new episode is avaiable, iTunes will automatically download it for you.

If you are already subscribed to the mp3 version, you will want to delete that subscription. To do that, go to iTunes, select Podcasts from the left hand side resources, and then find Searching the Internet. You know it is the mp3 version if the epsiodes do not have (enhanced AAC) at the end of its name. Then select the title (just above the actual episodes) and then hit Delete. It will ask if you want to move the items to the trash and you can click the button “Move to Trash”. That’s it, you’re now subscribed to the enhanced version and unsubscribed from the mp3 version.
