I do not happen to trust Skytrax much because it is a very opaque, undemocratic source of information. Skytrax seems to edit passenger opinions, choosing what to publish/not to publish. The Airline/Airport of the year award is similarly not transparent. Of course, I might be the one sorely mistaken, but I’m curious about what you think of the credibility of Skytrax (other than their own claims), since your blog is about using the Internet as a source of information. Thanks!

I have no reason not to believe them. I have stated in other episodes that each person needs to confirm any information on the Internet. They have been quoted in Forbes several times. I don’t know about them choosing what to publish or not based on user comments since I’ve not posted any comments. I picked them because they had some unique and interesting content that I hadn’t found elsewhere.
I did do a quick search about them and they seem to be a legitimate company based on London. Here’s a wikpedia article about Skytrax: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skytrax. I also didn’t come across any negatives reviews or compliants.
Just because a source isn’t democratic doesn’t mean they aren’t a good source. But like everything in the online world, always confirm with at least one (preferably two or more) other independent sites.
