Podcasts are audio or video files on the Internet which can be enjoyed in several ways. They can be downloaded, watched or listened to on a website, or be available via a free web feed. This web feed also know as an RSS feed or an Atom feed and are what differentiates podcasts from just any audio or video on the Internet. These web feeds allow your listeners to subscribe, at no cost to them, to your feed and have files automatically downloaded to their computer to listen to whenever they have time. The podcast subscription are handled by software called an aggregator. An example of such software is Apple's iTunes.
